Students can choose from any of the projects that I have taught or bring their own pattern/instructions for a project of their choice. I have a catalog of projects that they can view to pick projects.

This is an intermediate-level class. Students will need to have taken at least Introduction to Sewing from me to sign up for this class to be sure that they are proficient with the sewing machine.

I will guide each student through the project of their choice and they will work at their own pace. When they have completed their current project, they will then choose their next project. The student will provide the pattern/instructions as well as supplies.

I will provide thread.

• July 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th from 10:15 am – 11:15 am
• July 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd from 10:15 am – 11:15 am

This is an intermediate-level class. Each student will select one of the 4 quilts to make. They are each 60″x60″.  Students will complete a quilt start to finish:

• Day 1: Learning about Quilts (Piecing, basting, quilting, binding) and Begin Piecing
• Day 2: Continue Piecing
• Day 3: Continue Piecing
• Day 4: Continue Piecing
• Day 5: Continue Piecing
• Day 6: Basting and Marking for Quilting
• Day 7: Quilting
• Day 8: Binding

The students will get to make a throw size quilt start to finish. They will learn everything that goes into making a quilt. Piecing, Basting, Quilting and Binding. They will need to purchase the fabric for the front, back and binding as well as the batting. I will provide thread.

The date/time options for this class will be:

• June 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th from 10:15-11:15am

 If you sign up for the class, you will select which of the 4 quilts you would like to make and then I will send you an email with instructions on how much fabric you will need.

This is a intermediate level class. The students choose which bag to make and will complete the following:

• Day 1: Piece Blocks
• Day 2: Continue Piecing Blocks and Begin Quilting
• Day 3: Finish Quilting and Begin Construction
• Day 4: Finish Construction of Bag and Pouch

After the four lessons, students will have practiced the following skills:  basic quilt piecing, Quilting, finish seams, turning, topstitching and boxing corners, zippers.

Students will provide their fabric and webbing. I will provide batting and thread.

The date/time options for this class will be:

• June 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th from 9:00 – 10:00 am

This is an intermediate level class. This pattern accommodates sizes 10-16. Make sure to go by the measurements and not the size number. Students will complete the following:

• Day 1: Cut Dress and begin pocket, bodice and strap construction
• Day 2: Finish Bodice
• Day 3: Finish Skirt
• Day 4: Attach Bodice to Skirt and Finish Dress

After all four lessons, students will have practiced the following skills: Cut a pattern, finish seams, create a hem, create ties, inserting elastic.

Student will provide dress fabric. All notions and thread provided.

The date/time options for this class will be:

• July 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm

This is a Beginner-level class. Students will complete the following projects:

• Day 1: Intro & Bookmarks
• Day 2: Chapstick Keychain
• Day 3: Tote Bag
• Day 4: Zipper Pouch

After all the lessons, students will have learned how to: use a sewing machine, seam, pin fabric, straight stitch, curved stitch, back stitch, hand stitch, follow a pattern, insert a zipper, and line a project.

The date/time options for this class will be:

• June 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th from 10:15-11:15 AM
• June 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th  from 9:00-10:00 AM

This is an intermediate level class. This pattern allows for sizes 6-14. Students will repurpose a men’s dress shirt into a skirt and hair bow. Students will complete the following:

• Day 1: Cut out Skirt
• Day 2: Begin Sewing Skirt
• Day 3: Make Waistband and Ties
• Day 4: Make Hairbow

After all four lessons, students will have practiced the following skills: cut out a pattern, do body measurement, finish seams, create a waistband and create a tie.

Student will provide Men’s Dress Shirt. All notions, interfacing and thread provided.

This is an intermediate level class. This class Students will upcycle clothing and add quilt blocks to their chosen items. We can do a jacket, shirt, shorts, pants, etc. Depending on what they choose, students may have time to do multiple pieces. This is a great way for students to learn the basics of quilt piecing without having to commit to a full quilt. Students will complete the following:

• Day 1: Design and cut out quilt blocks
• Day 2: Begin Sewing blocks
• Day 3: Continue with blocks
• Day 4: Finish items

After all four lessons, students will have practiced the following skills: cut out a pattern, quilt piecing, applique.

Student will provide desired clothing item and fabric for quilt blocks.
